Being an Iowa fan is not really a hobby. It is more like a yearly medical test to see how much punting one man can watch before he starts talking to the garage door.
I love the Hawkeyes, do not get me wrong. Defense shows up mad, special teams acts like it pays rent, and every November game looks like it was filmed inside a freezer behind a tractor supply.
Then the offense comes out and you start doing math you should not have to do during football.
"Okay if we get 11 yards in the next 4 drives and the punter pins them at the 2, we are basically in field goal range emotionally."
That is Iowa football. You do not watch it for comfort. You watch it because your grandpa did, your dad did, and apparently nobody in the family knew how to unsubscribe.
Go Hawks.
