Looking at the Canes' 2026 schedule, there are obviously a bunch of games that matter, but I've already got two circled: Clemson and Florida State.
We get Clemson on October 3, and unfortunately we've got to go into Death Valley to do it. That's going to be a tough one. Clemson will also be coming off a road trip to California the week before, while Miami gets Central Michigan at home before heading to Clemson.
Then we get something I really like: a bye week.
Because after Clemson, we have a week off and then FSU comes to our house on October 17. Hard Rock. Orange Out. Miami-FSU. I don't care what either team's record is when that game gets here. I want to beat FSU every damn year.
And the scheduling works in our favor. While Miami is sitting home during the bye, FSU has to go to Louisville for a Friday night game on October 9. Then they have to come down to Miami the following week. I'll take that setup all day long.
If the Canes can go into Death Valley and beat Clemson, then come home after the bye and knock off FSU, I'll be feeling pretty damn good about where this season is headed.
Especially since we already beat FSU 28-22 in Tallahassee last year.
Let's make it two straight.
