Charter / moderation notes

Charter: rb.talk.radio.coffee-talk-with-liz-litterello is the official RootBadger discussion and live-viewing community for Coffee Talk with Liz Litterello. The group hosts live and recorded talk-radio style conversations about national and Florida politics, government, elections, public policy, current events, culture, and the issues affecting everyday people. It also welcomes program announcements, guest information, follow-up sources, listener questions, respectful debate, and continued discussion after each broadcast. Purpose and rationale: Coffee Talk is built around direct conversation rather than an algorithmic feed or a shouting match. Members should be able to watch the program, respond in real time, challenge an argument, add local knowledge, and continue an organized discussion after the live broadcast ends. The group is a home for people who value candid political conversation while still expecting accuracy, basic decency, and room for honest disagreement. Live Hub policy: The featured player may point to Liz Litterello s authorized live or scheduled video source. A source being embedded or linked does not imply that RootBadger produced or endorsed every statement in a broadcast. Members must be signed in to post or participate in RootBadger discussion features. Live discussion should remain relevant to the current program and must not interfere with the originating stream or impersonate its host, guests, campaigns, public agencies, or media organizations. Discussion standards: Separate reporting from opinion and label satire clearly. When making a specific factual claim, provide a reliable source when reasonably available. Quote people in context. Corrections are encouraged and should address the claim rather than attack the person. Strong criticism of politicians, parties, policies, institutions, and media coverage is welcome; threats, targeted harassment, stalking, doxxing, discriminatory abuse, deliberate fabrication, manipulated media presented as authentic, repetitive propaganda, flooding, and commercial spam are not. Election discussion: Advocacy for candidates, parties, ballot measures, and policies is permitted when relevant, but coordinated brigading, fraudulent voting information, voter intimidation, and knowingly false instructions about registration, polling places, eligibility, or election procedures are prohibited. Official election information should link to the responsible government authority whenever possible. Privacy and safety: Do not publish private addresses, telephone numbers, personal documents, medical information, or other sensitive details without clear authorization. Public officials and public statements may be discussed, but participation in public life does not erase legitimate personal safety and privacy boundaries. Never encourage interference with public proceedings, emergency operations, or another person s lawful broadcast. Moderation: This is a moderated group. The owner and appointed moderators may move off-topic material, remove spam or dangerous content, close disruptive threads, limit repeated bad-faith behavior, and take immediate action against credible threats or exposed private information. Moderation should be viewpoint-neutral: disagreement with the host or prevailing opinion is not itself grounds for removal. Material decisions should be based on conduct, relevance, authenticity, and these published rules. Appeals may be made through the normal RootBadger moderation process. The goal is spirited, informed talk radio with a welcoming front door: bring coffee, bring evidence, bring questions, and leave room for somebody else to answer.
