Charter / moderation notes

Any discussion on quantum and/or the nature of physics in our universe. It's amazing to learn how the universe really works. This group is for anyone who finds physics fascinating, even if they are no brainiac at all. You do not need a degree, advanced maths, or expert knowledge to join in. Beginner questions are welcome, and people who know more are encouraged to explain things in a way ordinary curious people can understand. Good topics include quantum mechanics, atoms and atomic structure, particles, forces, energy, gravity, relativity, space and time, cosmology, experiments, new discoveries, famous physics puzzles, and the strange questions that make people wonder how the universe actually works. The "easy" in easyphysics means approachable, not careless. Complicated ideas can be discussed, but please explain jargon when possible and do not make people feel stupid for asking basic questions. Simple explanations, thought experiments, links to interesting articles or videos, and questions such as "how does this work?" are all encouraged. Speculation and unusual ideas can be fun to talk about, but they should be clearly presented as speculation rather than established science. Strong factual claims should be supported with a useful explanation or a credible source when possible. Quantum healing, miracle products, scams, and claims that use the word "quantum" without any real connection to physics are not what this group is for. The main purpose is to have fun talking about quantum physics, atomic structure, and the nature of our universe while helping one another understand a little more than we did before.
