Wild Turkey 101
No gimmicks. No fancy speeches. Just a genuine Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at a sturdy 101 proof. Wild Turkey 101 comes through with rich carmel, vanilla, toasted oak, and a peppery spice that lets you know it sho...

From the Archives: When Trolling Took Some Effort
I ran across an old alt.comp.virus thread from 2006 that reminded me what Usenet trolling used to look like. The subject started innocently enough: "HELP Windows ME - Operating system not found." Then Snuhwolf, Kadaitc...
The Trolls Used to Be Better
There was a time when trolling required patience, creativity, and enough intelligence to keep twenty people arguing for days without realizing they'd been played. The old-school troll had a plan. He'd drop something jus...
Quit Lurking and Start Poasting, Ya Ornery Bastards
Bring Us Another Eternal September Some of you old Usenet hands remember September 1993. AOL opened the gates, the newcomers came pouring in, and September never ended. The old guard called it Eternal September, and mo...

I picked up a bottle of Elijah Craig Barrel Proof yesterday, and I'll be pouring myself a dram tonight. This one has earned quite a following among serious bourbon drinkers, and for good reason. It's bottled straight fr...

I Guess Somebody Had To Start It...
So... here we are. If you're reading this, you've officially witnessed the rebirth of rb.alt.fan.karl-malden.nose. The original alt.fan.karl-malden.nose began life as one of Usenet's many wonderfully ridiculous joke gr...
The Second Glass
The first glass takes the edge off the day. The second one is where the stories start. I've always thought whiskey was less about the drink and more about slowing down long enough to remember the people you've met, the...
