Any ordinary test post is on-topic here, including message format experiments, reply-tree tests, markdown checks, and client setup verification. Users should prefer alt.test over unrelated groups when testing new accounts, posting tools, or formatting changes. Do not use alt.test for spam runs, commercial promotion, link spraying, or automated abuse. Test noise is acceptable; nuisance abuse is not.
