Been listening to a bunch of 70s and 80s rock again lately.

Rush is probly the big one for me. Neil Peart was just on another level. Fast, busy, but still actually part of the song.

Heart too. I think people talk about the vocals so much they kinda skip over how hard the band could hit.

I’m mostly looking for bands where the drums stand out. Not just metal, not just prog, just rock where the drummer is really pushing it.

Stuff I already like is Rush, Heart, Van Halen, Deep Purple, Judas Priest, Motorhead, early Iron Maiden, Blue Oyster Cult

what else am I missing? fast drums, heavy drums, wierd fills, whatever. 70s/80s mostly.
