One of the features I'm currently working on is push-to-talk (PTT) walkie-talkie communication, where every RootBadger group doubles as its own voice channel. Think Zello, but integrated directly into the community. It's actually much closer to completion than you might think.
I'm also building rb.media, RootBadger's own video platform. It will feature videos, Slices (our version of short-form videos), channel subscriptions, comments, and more. The core framework is already workingโvideo uploads, playback, Slices, subscriptions, and the basics are all in place. The biggest hurdle now isn't the software; it's the infrastructure. Before opening it to everyone, I'll need to invest in dedicated servers, plenty of bandwidth, and several terabytes of storage to handle uploads and streaming reliably.
