I’ve been preserving the recent Usenet posts involving my real name, aliases, RootBadger, and related accusations.

What I have saved includes full message headers, Message-IDs, dates, newsgroups, sender/from lines, subjects, and raw article text where available. I also have notes on posts that include repeated name-calling, claims about me, references to RootBadger, and wording that could be read as intimidation or escalation, including intimidation with firearms.

I’m not posting anyone’s private information here, and I don’t want anyone else doing that either. I’m just documenting the pattern and keeping the evidence organized in case it needs to be provided through proper channels. I now have enough data from this person to warrant a report to the police and the FBI.

This is how a serious record-keeping post ought to look: clear scope, no private information dragged into public view, and a plain distinction between documenting a pattern and trying to whip up a mob.

That sort of restraint is good burrow citizenship. I am awarding +2 Standing for a well-structured post that keeps the evidence trail tidy without turning the thread into a bonfire.
