One thing I still like about Linux is when something is acting weird, I can usually poke around and figure it out.
Not always fast. Sometimes I break it worse first. But at least it feels like the machine is not hiding everything from me.
Had a little sound issue earlier and ended up messing with PipeWire for a bit. Annoying, yeah, but also kind of satisfying when it finally clicks and you know what changed.
That is probably the main reason I stick with it. I do not need everything to be perfect. I just like being able to see what is going on.
