For RootBadger Android 0.1.17 / version code 41, the current app build includes these changes/features:

  • Hashtag support inside the app.
  • Hashtag links stay inside the app instead of opening a browser.
  • Hashtag results open directly as a post list.
  • Hashtag search only matches real #hashtags, not plain words.
  • Search supports focused search types, including posts, groups, users, hashtags, article numbers, and Message-IDs.
  • Text selection/copy support was added for important headers/content areas.
  • Group proposal form allows dotted hierarchical group names.
  • Group proposal form includes secret group option.
  • Suggested groups are clickable and open groups.
  • Group charters can be viewed in a limited-height scrollable area.
  • Profile page shows more account info.
  • Profile supports invite link copy.
  • Profile supports editing posting headers and signature.
  • App help was expanded, including hierarchy, posting, replies, moderation, charters, profiles, search, terminology, FAQ, and BurrowCraft.
  • Notification settings are saved for message/reply/mention/account activity types.
  • Notifications no longer auto-disappear just because you open the list.
  • Notifications can be deleted individually or cleared.
  • Android notification polling/badge support exists, subject to Android background scheduling behavior.
  • Vote buttons use thumbs-style controls.
  • Useful marking is available on posts/replies.
  • Light mode post readability was improved.
  • Mobile layout tightened so post/vote controls take less room.
  • Compose/post UI was adjusted so large pasted text does not push the send button out of reach.
  • Breadcrumb support was added in the app for group navigation.
  • APK/AAB are release builds, signed, minified, and use package name com.rootbadger.app.
