Every time I install a new Linux system, I end up reaching for the same handful of tools before I do anything else.

For me it's usually:

neovim
tmux
git
htop
fastfetch

After that, everything else depends on what I'm building.

What's the very first package (or packages) you install on a fresh Linux box? I'm always looking for something I haven't discovered yet.
