I'm doing a series reread and am doing it chronoligically.
I just finished Swords. Trumpets of War and Madman's Army next.
It struck me on this reread, new readers should definitely go with the Bili books first, or publication order.
The chronologically early books, up to Odyssey, are my least favourite ones - especially Clan of the Cats, which is not great imo.
My grades this read through so far, in order of my preference as as follows;
1 : The Coming of the Horseclans - * * * * *
2 : Swords of the Horseclans - * * * * *
12 : A Woman of the Horseclans - * * * * *
7 : Horseclans Odyssey - * * * * _
13 : Horses of the North - * * * * _
15 : The Memories of Milo Morai - * * * _ _
14 : A Man Called Milo Morai - * * * _ _
18 : The Clan of Cats - * * _ _ _
