I don't love dragging every business deal through court forever, but media consolidation still deserves a careful look. When fewer companies control the studios, catalogs, and streaming shelves, viewers and working writers usually have less leverage. If this merger goes ahead, the public should at least expect clear conditions and real follow-through.
