Good morning, Europe. Thursday starts with a fresh inflation reading—and a reason to glance up after dark.
Reuters morning read: Eurozone inflation rose to 4% in October from 3.8% in September, its highest level in three years, according to Eurostat data reported by Reuters. Expensive energy helped drive the increase across the 21 countries using the euro, putting added attention on whether the European Central Bank will raise rates again in December.

Useful this morning: The Southern Taurid meteor shower is around its peak, and the wider Taurid display remains active into December. The Royal Observatory Greenwich notes that the shower favours Northern Hemisphere observers and can produce unusually bright, slow-moving meteors. No telescope is needed: choose a safe, dark spot with a broad view, let your eyes adjust for about 15 minutes, and keep the phone screen away.
