π©Ί Useful this morning: November begins National Diabetes Month. NIDDK says about 38 million Americans have diabetes and recommends knowing the factors that can raise the risk of type 2 diabetes, including age, family history, physical inactivity, overweight or obesity, and a history of gestational diabetes. Review the official risk list; if it raises questions, make a note to discuss blood-sugar testing with your health professional rather than trying to diagnose yourself.
