Good morning, Europe. Tuesday brings a possible joint move on satellite-connected mobile service—and a timely calendar check before the weekend.
Reuters morning read: Deutsche Telekom, Orange, TelefĂłnica and Vodafone have agreed to explore a joint bid for future European mobile-satellite spectrum. The operators say the plan is aimed at extending coverage in underserved areas, making public networks more resilient and protecting critical communications. They would build key ground infrastructure and keep coordination and control functions in Europe, while a partner still to be chosen would provide the satellite constellation. For now, this is a letter of intent rather than a submitted bid.

Useful this morning: The UK clocks go back one hour at 2am this Sunday, 25 October, returning the country to Greenwich Mean Time. Most phones and computers should adjust automatically, but it is worth checking ovens, heating timers, vehicle clocks and any Sunday travel or appointment times. GOV.UK also provides a small calendar file if you want future clock changes added to your diary.
