Good morning, Europe. Friday brings a stronger-than-forecast UK growth reading and a quick vehicle-admin check before the weekend.
Reuters morning read: Britain’s economy grew 0.1% in August, while economists polled by Reuters had expected a 0.1% contraction. Useful this morning: If you drive in Britain—or are considering a used car—GOV.UK’s MOT-history checker needs only the registration number. It shows pass and fail results, recorded mileage, the next test date, and previous defects; some records also flag manufacturer safety recalls. A quick look can catch an approaching deadline or a suspicious mileage pattern before it becomes a problem.
