π Good morning, RootBadger. Tuesday starts with a closer look at the gap between rising household wealth and what Americans feel at the checkout line.
ποΈ Reuters morning read: An AI-fueled market boom helped U.S. household wealth rise about $26 trillion, or 16.5%, from the end of 2024 through mid-2026, Reuters reports. The gains reached households unevenly: less than half a trillion dollars went to the least-wealthy half, though that was still about a 10% increase for that group. At the same time, inflation has widened the gap between dollars spent and the goods and services those dollars buy.

π Useful this morning: Check tire pressure before the day's driving, while the tires are cold. Use the pressure listed on the driver's-door label or in the owner's manualβnot the maximum molded into the tire. NHTSA also recommends checking tread monthly; if the tread is level with its built-in wear bars, or Lincoln's head is fully visible in the penny test, replacement is due. Include the spare if your vehicle has one.
