π Good morning, RootBadger. Sunday opens with the latest on Hurricane Isaias and one safety reminder for homes dealing with outages.
ποΈ Reuters morning read: Four people died after Hurricane Isaias made landfall early Saturday, and about 670,000 residents in Florida, Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi were still without power as the storm weakened to a post-tropical cyclone. Reuters reports that two deaths involved trees falling on homes, while crews worked to clear highways and reopen bridges.

π Useful this morning: If a portable generator is running during an outage, keep it outdoors and at least 20 feet from windows, doors, and attached garages. Ready.gov also recommends working carbon-monoxide detectors on every level, heavy-duty extension cords, keeping the generator dry, and letting it cool before refueling. Never use a grill or fuel-burning device indoors.
