DeYoung wanted to take STYX into the realm of theatrics on stage, see Mr Roboto. Tommy Shaw hated the idea and wanted to stay Rock & Roll and leave the theatrics to the music videos where they should be. Which I agree with.

Correct. I had that a bit backwards. But Dennis also had an idea, look at Queen. Mr. Roboto was a let down to me. I was like WTF? The new Styx with Gowne is not bad but it's like Queen with Adam Lambert. Just not the same.
