π§ Useful this morning: If you are not applying for new credit soon, consider freezing your credit reports. The FTC says a freeze is free to place or lift, does not affect your credit score, and helps prevent someone from opening a new account in your name. You must contact Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion separately; you can temporarily lift a freeze when a legitimate credit check is needed.
