CHARTER rb.media is the discussion home for RootBadger's rb.media video community. It covers videos, Slices, live broadcasts, channels, playlists, creator projects, production techniques, platform announcements, and thoughtful discussion of work published through rb.media. On-topic discussion includes new releases, creator introductions, production notes, cameras and microphones, editing and encoding, thumbnails, live-streaming practice, accessibility, copyright questions, requests for constructive criticism, and ideas for improving rb.media. Members may discuss the featured RootBadger playlist video, but posts should add context or conversation rather than merely repeat a link. Creators are welcome to share their own work when they identify their connection to it. Honest promotion is acceptable; repetitive dumping, deceptive titles, engagement bait, impersonation, stolen material, copyright infringement, doxxing, harassment, and illegal content are not. Criticism should address the work rather than attack its creator. Mark mature material accurately and follow RootBadger's site-wide rules. RATIONALE Video pages are useful for watching, but durable conversation benefits from a chronological, topic-based group. rb.media gives viewers and creators one organized place to discuss releases, preserve production knowledge, report playback problems, suggest features, and connect RootBadger's discussion network with its video platform without surrendering conversation to an algorithmic feed. MODERATION This is a moderated group. Submissions may be held for review. Moderators may reject spam, unsafe or unlawful material, misleading promotion, repeated off-topic posting, personal attacks, and material that violates copyright or RootBadger policy. Good-faith disagreement, technical criticism, and negative reviews remain welcome when they are relevant and civil. Moderation decisions should favor clear explanations, proportional responses, and preserving useful discussion.
