rb.comp.security.darkweb is for serious, security-minded discussion of the dark web and related technologies. Appropriate topics include Tor and onion services, anonymous networking, privacy tools, OPSEC, hidden-service security, threat research, scams and fraud awareness, malware and phishing trends, law-enforcement and policy news, public-interest reporting, and legal research resources. The group may discuss how dark web systems work, how people protect themselves, and how investigators, researchers, journalists, and ordinary users can understand the risks without glamorizing abuse. Links are allowed only when they are legal, educational, public-interest, research-oriented, or clearly defensive in purpose. Members should describe what a link is, why it is relevant, and any safety concerns before posting it. Do not post blind dumps of suspicious links. This group is not a marketplace and not a place to help people commit crimes. Do not post or request child sexual abuse material, sexual exploitation material, stolen credentials, doxxing, malware for sale, botnets, exploit services, drugs, weapons, fraud services, assassination or violence services, trafficking material, or instructions intended to enable real-world abuse. Content that appears illegal, abusive, or dangerous may be removed, reported, and may result in negative Standing or account action. Keep discussion factual, careful, and useful. Sensationalism, link spam, shock content, and reckless instructions are outside the scope of the group. When in doubt, discuss the security lesson rather than distributing the harmful material itself.
