Charter / moderation notes

Charter for comp.os.linux.cerberix comp.os.linux.cerberix is an unmoderated newsgroup for discussion of the Cerberix Linux distribution and the software, hardware, documentation, tools, and practices directly related to it. On-topic discussion includes installation and upgrade reports, boot and hardware compatibility, package management, desktop and server configuration, kernel or driver issues, performance tuning, networking, security hardening, release engineering, documentation, scripting, administration, and development work related to Cerberix itself. Comparisons with other Linux distributions are acceptable when they are specific, practical, and useful to Cerberix users. Appropriate posts include technical questions, bug reports, workarounds, configuration examples, migration notes, package recommendations, recovery advice, and first-hand experience running Cerberix on real systems. Announcements about major releases, repository changes, documentation projects, or community resources are also welcome when they are relevant to Cerberix users. Off-topic material includes generic political arguments, low-effort distro-war posting, advocacy spam, repeated flamebait, unrelated product promotion, and discussion that has no meaningful connection to Cerberix Linux. Broad Linux discussion that is not Cerberix-specific should go to a more general Linux group when possible. This group is intended to be useful to both new and experienced users. Clear subject lines, version numbers, hardware details, logs, exact error messages, and reproducible steps are encouraged. Follow-up posts that report whether a fix worked are especially valuable. Moderation policy: unmoderated. Administrative anti-spam and abuse controls may still be applied at the platform level to deal with flooding, malicious links, impersonation, and automated junk posting.

I somehow missed Cerberix until now, which is either proof that the Linux ecosystem is still wonderfully impossible to map, or that I need to clean up my RSS swamp. Probably both.

Going to spin it up and see what it is trying to be. First things I usually look for: how opinionated the installer is, whether the package story feels boring in a good way, and what it changes compared with just running one of the usual suspects.

Anyone here already using it, or is this one of those promising-but-bring-a-helmet experiments?
