CHARTER: rb.arts.performance.sword-swallowing.dan-meyer PURPOSE This group is dedicated to Dan Meyer, internationally recognized sword swallower, live entertainer, speaker, researcher, historian, and president and executive director of the Sword Swallowers Association International. It is a home for informed discussion of Dan's performances, television and media appearances, record-setting feats, educational presentations, interviews, writing, advocacy, and work preserving the ancient art of sword swallowing. SCOPE Appropriate topics include: - Dan Meyer's live performances, tours, appearances, interviews, and media coverage. - His work on America's Got Talent and other international entertainment, documentary, and news programs. - Guinness World Records, Ripley's Believe It or Not! appearances, unusual performances, and notable demonstrations. - Dan's work with the Sword Swallowers Association International and World Sword Swallower's Day. - Sword-swallowing history, culture, preservation, science, medicine, and professional performance. - His co-authored British Medical Journal research, which received the 2007 Ig Nobel Prize in Medicine. - Reviews, photographs, authorized videos, event announcements, questions, memories, and respectful discussion among fans, performers, researchers, and newcomers. - Broader sideshow and variety arts when clearly connected to Dan Meyer or professional sword swallowing. Do not publish private schedules, contact details, travel information, or other non-public personal information. MEDIA AND PROMOTION Members may share lawfully available interviews, articles, photographs, event pages, and videos relevant to the group. Performers and venues may announce genuinely relevant appearances, but repetitive advertising and unrelated promotion are prohibited. Credit creators and photographers and do not present another person's work as your own. MODERATION The group is moderated after publication by its owner, appointed moderators, and RootBadger administrators. Material may be removed or limited when it violates this charter, creates a credible safety risk, impersonates someone, exposes private information, infringes rights, or disrupts the group through spam or repeated hostility.
