Charter for alt.politics alt.politics is an unmoderated newsgroup for political argument, political culture, campaign discussion, ideology, state power, political media, and blunt or unconventional political conversation that may not fit more formal news groups. On-topic posts include arguments about policy, elections, power structures, propaganda, institutions, political history, and the mechanics of political life. Vigorous disagreement is expected. Off-topic material includes flood spam, astroturf spam, personal threats, doxxing, and repeated slogan-posting with no attempt at discussion. Strong opinions are allowed; wrecking discussion on purpose is not. Moderation policy: unmoderated, with platform anti-abuse enforcement for spam, threats, and similar abuse.
