CHARTER rb.alt.buzztard.sucks.donkey.dicks exists to honor Buzzard in the traditional alt.* manner: with an unnecessarily specific newsgroup name, low expectations, questionable dignity, and exactly as much ceremony as the subject deserves. For reasons of pure laziness and lack of caring, this group was created to honor Buzzard, yadda yadda. That sentence is both the founding principle and a fair summary of the administrative effort invested in the idea. PURPOSE AND SCOPE This is an irreverent satire, complaint, roast, and storytelling group for posts about Buzzard, Buzztard lore, ridiculous decisions, legendary failures, exaggerated grievances, running jokes, parody tributes, absurd anecdotes, and evidence that a deeply nested alt.* hierarchy remains one of civilization's finer achievements. On-topic material includes: - Stories explaining why Buzzard has earned this magnificent monument. - Satire, parody, roasts, jokes, memes described in text, and mock awards. - Good-natured arguments over Buzzard's worst idea, finest disaster, or most baffling moment. - Obviously exaggerated claims that no reasonable reader would mistake for factual reporting. - Tributes so backhanded that they complete a full orbit and become sincere again. - Discussion of the group's gloriously stupid name and why creating it was easier than finding something productive to do. THE MINIMUM EFFORT RULE Posts do not need to be profound, polished, useful, or even especially timely. They should, however, contain enough context to be understood by somebody who was not standing nearby when the joke began. A subject line followed only by "you know what you did" may be spiritually correct but is editorially lazy even by this group's standards. BOUNDARIES The group name is vulgar; the conduct does not have to be cruel. Satire and criticism are welcome. Credible threats, doxxing, publishing private contact information, stalking, coordinated harassment, impersonation, discriminatory abuse, sexual harassment, spam, and knowingly false claims presented as fact are not. Do not drag uninvolved family members, employers, or private individuals into a joke. Criticize behavior, stories, public claims, or the Buzztard mythology without trying to create real-world harm. If Buzzard is fictional, pseudonymous, or consenting to the joke, say so when context matters. If a post makes a serious factual accusation about a real person, it must be supportable and written as a serious claim rather than disguised as comedy. FOUNDING SPIRIT This group promises no enlightenment, self-improvement, or responsible use of time. It promises a durable place for the joke, a proper alt.* address, and the comforting knowledge that RootBadger can still build something gloriously unnecessary.
