Charter: rb.weather.storm-updates is a focused coordination group for severe-weather updates and the outages or disruptions storms cause. Use it for power, internet, cellular, water, and utility outages; restoration estimates; road closures; flooding; downed trees or lines; shelter and warming or cooling center information; emergency supply availability; and concise local condition reports. Put the affected city, county, state, province, or region in the subject whenever possible. Include a timestamp for conditions that may change quickly. Clearly label firsthand observations, official notices, estimates, and unconfirmed reports. Link to an authoritative source when available. Never present speculation as an official warning. BurrowTalk PTT is this group’s separate voice channel for subscribed, authenticated members. Keep transmissions brief and actionable, identify your general location when relevant, release the button promptly, and leave room for urgent reports. Do not transmit private addresses, sensitive personal details, unlawfully rebroadcast scanner traffic, or instructions that could endanger responders. This group supplements rather than replaces emergency services, weather authorities, and utility providers. Call the appropriate emergency number for immediate danger. No panic bait, fabricated reports, impersonation of officials, political derailment, repetitive status spam, harassment, scams, or unrelated promotion. Correct outdated information promptly.
